What is your refund policy?

NCEP does not offer Refunds. We do allow the individual to transfer the registartion to someone else as long as the original registrant has not attended class.

Does NCEP offer insurance to trainers?

No, we do not offer insurance to trainers. However, NCEP has partnered with K and K insurance, an innovator in the insurance space who provides affordable, comprehensive, and easy-to-use insurance for personal trainers. Please visit kandkinsurance.com

Where can I find downloadable materials?

NCEP offers a wide variety of downloadable resources for our trainers. You  will be able to download materials after you have registered.

Can I access my study materials after I register?

You will receive an e-mail with your order number confirmation upon payment. You will also be granted access to your materials almost immediately.

Can I access my courses on an iPad or Apple device?

Absolutely! NCEP is compatible with the any Apple or Windows product to view your online courses.

How do I change my password?

To reset your NCEP.com password, please visit the login page and use the Forgot Password feature. Password resets may take up to 30 minutes to reset. 

Can I earn CEUs from courses I completed through college?

NCEP offers college course CEU credits on a per unit basis. For example, a semester long Anatomy course worth 3 units would provide 30 NCEP CEUs. Please provide a copy of an un-official transcript with your recertification application submission.

What happens if my CPT certification has expired?

NCEP offers a 90-day grace period beyond your CPT Certificate expiration date to earn CEUs without a late fee payment. If CEUs have not been completed within the 90 day late window, and you have a special circumstance, just call us and we will attempt to make it right with you. Typically you will have to renew through NCEP and pay a $50 late. 

Can anyone see my exam score?

No, NCEP does not release exam scores, but we do verify if you are currently certified.

Where can I find practice questions for the exam for me to study?

All registrants are given access to you video library which includes study materials including practice exams and quizzes.

What CPR/AED providers does NCEP accept?

We recommend all trainers have CPR and AED certification. This responsibility rests entirely on the student. We do not ask to see your CPR card. 

Can I do my CPR/ AED course Online?

As  referenced in the above question, all CPR/AED courses are the sole responsibility of the NCEP trainer.

How do I change my credit card number on file?

We do not keep credit cards on file.

Can I change the date of my monthly Installment payment?

All terms of your agreement are through PayPal. We are not involved in the decision process nor can we change anything.

Can I cancel my monthly payment plan?

NCEP does not offer a monthly payment plan. All financing is done through a third party and must be discussed with them.

Does NCEP collect payment information via text message?

NCEP does not use text for payment purposes and any such texts received are not from NCEP.

Where can I print my certificate?

Email our member service department to receive a digital copy of your cert. (info@ncepfitness.com)

When would I reach out to NCEP to begin the Gym Internship placement process?

Contact NCEP  within 15 days of signing up for your Premium Package. Please contact NCEP  at info@ncepfitness.com.

How long does it take to be matched with a partnering facility?

The matching process can take up to 45 days from the date both Gym Internship  Agreement and resume have been received. Always contact the office and we will reach out to you.

Can the Gym Internship be purchased separately?

No- you must be registered and working on your NCEP Standard Certification and be located in a city where we currently hold classes.

What is the distance I would be requested to travel for my Gym Internship?

We attempt to locate a facility within a reasonable distance from your confirmed address. This is typically within a 20 mile radius.

If I already work as a certified personal trainer with a gym, can I still participate in the Gym Internship?

To determine eligibility, please reach out to info@ncepfitness.com.

Can I intern where I already work out?

The Gym Internship placement is dependent upon whether a gym is an NCEP partnered facility and/or meet the requirements for being a host facility.

Can I suggest a facility to intern with for my Gym Internship?

Absolutely! Requests will be taken under consideration, but cannot be guaranteed.

Are there any CEU’s associated with completing this program?

Yes- CEU’s are awarded for participation in this program.

I recently purchased the NCEP Guided Study with workshop, what is the difference between that course and the Premium Package one with the 100 hours and Gym Internship?

The program is the same, the online materials are the same, but you will receive 100 contact hours. That includes 50 hours with the instructor and 50 hours at a gym location to learn on-the-job training at its best.

Is there a Job Guarantee associated with this program?

Yes, the job guarantee is part of the Gym Internship program. If we cannot get you a job, and you have fulfilled the requirements, you will receive 10% refund.

Where can I find my Registration number?

You will be sent an email with your number upon registration. 

Can I transfer my enrollment to a friend?

Online account registrations and examination registrations are completely transferable as long as the original student has not taken the course.

When do I receive my Certificate?

An official certificate will be mailed to you within 2 – 4 weeks after passing your CPT Exam. A digital copy of your certificate will be made emailed typically within 5 business days of passing your CPT Exam. All digital certificates can be printed and used as proof of passing the course.

How do I schedule my CPT exam?

Just email or call us to let us know what class you plan to attend if it is different from the one you registered for originally. 

Where can I find a practice Exam?

You can find a practice exam in the video section of your study materials. 

Will I receive my exam score?

NCEP will send you your score along with your certificate upon passing the course.  If you fail the CPT exam, NCEP will email you letting you know about the test results.

What do I need to take with me to the live workshop and exam?

You will be required to present a valid government-issued photo ID along with your registration.

How do I get an extension for my course?

Access to your online materials is open for a period of one year. You can also attend any (same) class in any city or state as many times as you like for no added fees for one full year.

I failed my exam, can I purchase a retest? And when can I reschedule?

If you failed your initial exam attempt, a retest for the exam is FREE for one full year. All we ask is that you call or email us at least 2 days in advance to attending any class so we can register you with the host club.

How many questions are on the CPT exam and how long do I have to complete it?

There are 50 test questions, in which 40 are short answer, and 10 are multiple choice. It is also accompanied by a Practical exam where you must take the instructor on a series of exercises to prove competency.  There is a 2-hour time limit and you must pass with a 80% or better.

Is there a CPT practice exam?

Yes. You have 1 or more practice exams available to you for the duration of your enrollment period. You can locate the practice exam via your NCEP Student Portal.

I purchased the Guided Study program, when will I get login and course instruction information?

On your date of purchase, you will receive a Welcome email that will provide you with your general log-in and course access information. Within 1 business day, you will receive an email confirmation for the integration of your online course materials. After both confirmations have been received you will be able to access your online material. If you do not receive your email confirmations within 1 business day, please contact the Member Services team for additional assistance at 1-310-430-3664.

Can the quizzes and exams be repeated in the Guided Study?

With the exception of the Live Final Exam, you receive an unlimited amount of attempts to redo any activity during your enrollment period. While you can redo activities, we cannot clear or wipe away the progress you make within the course.

What if I need to switch my Guided Study live course?

Please call or email us if you need to attend a different live workshop that better meets your needs. Be sure to call or email at least 48 hours before the class is scheduled.

What if I purchased the Gym Internship along with the CPT Guided Study?

The Gym Internship provides you with hands-on gym experience, and will be completed with your coach. We will contact you very shortly after register for the 100 hour hands on training. We will assist you in getting started with your Gym Internship.

How often do I need to recertify?

To support NCEP’s commitment to protect health and safety, the NCEP-CPT certification must be recertified every two (2) years. This ensures that NCEP-CPT professionals are current with the best-practice guidelines.

What is a CEU?

The acronym “CEU” stands for Continuing Education Unit. Continuing education programs are intended to promote continued competence, development of knowledge and skills, and enhancement of professional skills and judgment beyond the levels required for entry-level practice. 

How many CEUs do I need to recertify?

NCEP-CPTs are required to complete 16 CEUs (16 contact hours) every two year certification period. 

What is an NCEP approved CEU? Where can I find this information?

Any CEU hat is accepted by any education organization is accepted by NCEP.

What is a petition? How do I petition a course that is not an NCEP approved CEU?

You will not have to petition any course. We accept ALL CEU courses from ALL education institutions. If yo have any questions please call or email.

How can I become an approved NCEP CEU provider?

All we ask is for you to email us an outline of the class you would like to teach and how many CEU’s you would like to give for the course. The Provider fee is $50 per course per year. 

Can I earn CEUs from courses I completed through college?

Absolutely- NCEP offers CEU credits for college courses on a per unit basis. For example, a semester long Anatomy course worth 3 units would provide 30 CEU’s for NCEP. The college course content must fall within our current performance domains to be accepted for credit (i.e. majors in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Heath Science, etc.). Please provide a copy of an un-official transcript with your recertification application submission.

What happens if my CPT certification has expired?

NCEP offers a 90-day grace period, beyond your CPT Certificate expiration date, to earn CEUs. If CEUs have been completed within your 90 day grace period, you have one-year to submit your paperwork for recertification. Failure to complete the required CEUs within the grace period will require re-examination.

What is Recert for Life?

NCEP’s Recertify for Life gives NCEP-CPTs the opportunity to avoid bi-annual renewal fees with a one-time fee of $399. You are still required to meet the renewal requirements and submit a recertification application every two years.

I just completed an approved NCEP CEU, when can I submit this towards my recertification?

You can upload your CEU documentation and email it along with the  recertification fees at the time of your renewal.

When should I attend a Workshop? Should I go before or after I complete the course?

It’s highly recommended, but not required, that workshop attendees have a knowledge of their program before attending. It’s up to the attendee if they prefer to attend the workshop before or after studying for the course. The student can go to the workshop as many times as they like for one full year with no added fees.

If I missed my scheduled Workshop session, can I reschedule? 

The student can go to the workshop as many times as they like for one full year with no added fees.

I would like to attend a different Workshop than the one I purchased, can I switch?

The student can go to the workshop as many times as they like for one full year with no added fees. All we ask is to call or email us 2 days prior to the class so we can adjust accordingly.

When does my Workshop expire?

Workshop courses expire 12 months from date of purchase.

What should I expect from a Workshop?

The first day of the workshop is mostly classroom setting where we will go through the book and study guide. Day 2 will consist, primarily, of hands-on learning and practical application followed by the exam at the end of the day.

How long do the workshops last?

Each workshop includes about 7 hours of instruction and a one-hour lunch break each day. All workshops typically start at 10am. We recommend getting to the host location about 15 minutes early. All workshops will end at 6pm.

How many CEUs will I earn for attending this workshop?

If you are taking the workshop with your initial registration for the course, you cannot use it for CEU credits.
